What We Believe

  1. One God, who is sovereign and created all things. He is perfect and exists for Eternity, existing as three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  2. Jesus, who is true God, was born of a virgin through conception by the Holy Spirit. He is true God and became true man. He died on the cross, a sacrifice for our sins (according to the Scriptures) and rose again from the dead on the third day. He ascended into heaven where He sits at the right hand of God and intercedes for us.
  3. The Holy Spirit, who glorifies Christ. He convicts us of our sin and draws us to the Christ, Our Savior, giving us new life, as well as gifts for service. He instructs and guides us into all truth.
  4. God’s free grace, which saves us and is needed because of our separation from God and condemnation due to our sin. Only those who confess their sin and accept Jesus as their Savior can become children of God and receive eternal life.
  5. The true Church, which is made up of all, have been saved through faith in Christ and the work of the Holy Spirit. The body of Christ (the Church) is seen most visibly (though still imperfect) in local congregations, where the Word of God is preached, and loving fellowship is maintained. The Church will become perfect when Christ returns.
  6. Jesus Christ’s return, which will be personal, visible, and bold and He will judge the living and the dead (as is stated in The Apostle’s Creed). His return will fulfill history and complete the eternal plan of God. To that we say, “Even so, come, Lord Jesus”. (Rev. 22:20)
  7. The Great Commission, where Jesus commands all believers to share the gospel throughout the world and make disciples of all nations. Obedience to this requires total commitment to Jesus, a self-denying love, and service. “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” (Ephesians2:10)
